Our South East Regional Gathering will be hosted by Bethel Christian Center in Durham, NC on March 3-4. We are bringing in small church specialist Karl Vaters for three sessions Tuesday at 2pm and 7pm and Wednesday at 10am. Wednesday afternoon we will enjoy lunch together before going out for a special time of fellowship and connection. Then Wednesday night at 7 pm we have Christian Oliver a church planter and tremendous speaker who regularly operates in gifts of the Spirit. Karl Vaters
Karl Vaters produces resources for Helping Small Churches Thrive at KarlVaters.com. He's the author of five books on church leadership, including his newest, De-Sizing the Church: How Church Growth Became a Science, Then an Obsession, and What's Next. His other books include The Grasshopper Myth and Small Church Essentials. Karl also hosts a bi-weekly podcast, The Church Lobby: Conversations on Faith & Ministry, featuring in-depth interviews about topics that concern pastors, especially those who minister in a small church context. He has served in small-church ministry for over 40 years, so he speaks and writes from decades of hands-on pastoral experience.
Ferrill Gallaway
Born in st. Louis MO, spent the past 25 years in ministry. Holds a BA in Biblical counseling; been lead pastor at Bethel Christian Center since Jan 2024.
