I have a very exciting announcement to share with you today. Our TFN ministry team is EXPANDING as God continues to bless and expand our global Kingdom Impact.
A little over two years ago, we embarked on a journey to bring hope to some of the most vulnerable people in the world. The Children of Prisoners Project started with a trip to Zambia with myself and Pastor Ken Harbaum, our World Missions director. Now, we have accepted the challenge of gathering the churches and organizations in our fellowship to sponsor 10,000 children in the next five years.
Because the need is so great, we have taken the step of creating a new ministry position on our team. With the approval of the Executive Board and the Missions Department, Pastor Marsha Hoxworth of FaithPoint Church in Killeen, TX is now our new Ministry Director Unto the Least of These. She will be actively involved in engaging our Fellowship family around the world, building connections, and assisting pastors and ministers in beginning their Children of Prisoners Project journey. With her passion and energy, and the engagement of Fellowship churches and congregation members around the country, I’m confident we will get 10,000 children sponsored in the next five years.
It’s a big goal, but we serve a Big God. And the need couldn’t be greater: there are over one million children currently living in extreme poverty while one or both parents are incarcerated. I believe that we are called as a Fellowship to rise up and rescue as many of these children as possible. Through our partnership with Prison Fellowship International, we have a strategic plan in place to make a measurable difference in the lives of those who are closest to the heart of God.
Now, with Pastor Marsha Hoxworth as our Director, Ministry Unto the Least of These, you have a point person to help you and your church embrace this mission alongside hundreds of Fellowship churches around the country. Begin today.
