I have the privilege of serving alongside some of the greatest men and women in the world during my time as president of The Fellowship Network. Countless pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and lay ministers have volunteered their time and expertise to ensure our ministry continues to bless and serve our thousands of members, churches, and organizations. For that, I am eternally grateful.
Today, I want to honor three specific colleagues who serve with me on the executive committee. The president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer meet several times a year to set the vision for The Fellowship and oversee our expanding roster of programs. These men are faithful, skillled, and committed to the Gospel of Jesus in every way. We are blessed to have them on our team.
Dr. Harry Schmidt has faithfully served The Fellowship as vice president for over a decade. The man is a force to be reckoned with, balancing his TFN duties while presiding as dean of Christian Life College AND leading the largest faith-based hospitality association in the world. Harry is a dear friend and a committed servant of our Fellowship. We are all benefiting from his years of behind-the-scenes service.
Steve Biffle has a love for our Fellowship that runs as deep as family. The son of longtime lead administrator “Bud” Biffle, Steve brings decades of professional experience to the table as treasurer. His love for people and love for the ministry is only matched by his personal and professional integrity. We couldn’t ask for a better overseer of The Fellowship’s finances.
If you ever attend a Fellowship gathering in person, you won’t be able to miss Phil Vance. His 6-foot 4-inch frame towers over the room and his smile disarms everyone in his path. But don’t let his stature fool you: he is a humble man filled with the Holy Spirit and love for people. Phil’s commitment to discipleship, evangelism, training, and releasing leaders makes him a spiritual giant. We are blessed to have him as our executive board secretary.
October is Pastors Appreciation Month. Each of the aforementioned men has taken time away from their churches, ministries, and businesses to serve a higher calling. The Fellowship Network is built on the backs of leaders like these as well as the hundreds of pastors, teachers, prophets, apostles, and evangelists that make up our membership. I am grateful for each and every one.
