Recap of the South Central Conference

It was the best regional conference that I ever had to leave early!

Thank you all for your prayers and kind notes of support. I arrived in Mesquite, TX for the South Central Regional Conference, only to have to leave for a family emergency back home. Fortunately, we have an amazing team in the South Central Region, and the 2017 STRIKE Conference was one for the books.

We started off Thursday night with powerful worship led by the FaithPoint worship team. Scott Hoxworth kicked off the first session with a message about the power of being in the timing of the Holy Spirit – striking while the iron is hot.

The next day we began the morning hearing from Brad Oaster, one of the most proficient and practiced church management consultants in the country. Brad’s decades of experience designing, building, and managing churches has seen dozens of congregations refocus their vision and experience tremendous growth year over year. Next, we heard from a plethora of breakout speakers on topics ranging from Christian counseling to church safety and security.

Friday night, we heard from Jayde Duncan, a good friend of The Fellowship Network and the senior pastor of Antioch Church in Colorado Springs, CO. Jayde spoke on the need for us to re-dig the wells of the Spirit in our own lives and in the culture of our churches. The word he brought was timely and applicable to every ministry and minister in our fellowship!

We wrapped up on Saturday morning with worship, a two-person panel discussion from Vice President Hoxworth and Pastor Duncan, and our regional business meeting. We gave away several prizes to attendees who visited all our incredible vendor tables, and closed the conference with an invitation to see everyone at the International conference in July 2018!

I want to thank all the dedicated people who made this year’s conference a success. Vice President Scott Hoxworth and his team from FaithPoint Church in Killeen, TX. Pastor Harry Sewell and the team at Family Cathedral of Praise in Mesquite, TX who hosted us in their beautiful facility. And all the speakers, worship leaders, and administrators who brought their best for the building up of the body of Christ. Thank you, very much!

Many of the teaching sessions from the conference will be available online in the coming weeks. I’m looking forward to hearing from all who attended the conference or watched the sessions online and learn how you were ministered during our time together. And don’t forget, our Southeast Conference (thefellowshipse.org) is happening August 8th and 9th in Durham, NC. I pray we see you there!
