Honoring Pastors and Pioneers

I believe that there is no more essential calling than that of a shepherd. Someone who cares for the flock, hears from the Holy Spirit, and humbly guides and comforts people through all of life’s challenges.
It’s not the most glamorous calling, but God speaks highly of those who respond to His call. He exhorts us to lead with integrity, pursuing Him first, and modeling personal and spiritual health as God intended. Because we are paving the way for many more people to come.

God promises to bless those who pastor their flocks well, giving them honor that supersedes worldly rewards:

1 Peter 5:2-4
Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

At The Fellowship, we honor the pastors and leaders who faithfully shepherd their flocks. We love, support, pray for, and equip the spiritual leaders who diligently pursue the high calling of pastoral ministry. Because of these faithful men and women, the Kingdom of God is advancing every single day.

Today is the final day of Pastors Appreciation Month. On behalf of The Fellowship Network and the entire leadership team, thank you for your service to the body of Christ. Your faithful labor is creating spiritual “highways in the wilderness” that many people behind you will benefit from. Generations are being changed because of your faithfulness to the call of God.
